New York’s 2020 statewide trout fishing season is underway and anglers are landing some impressive fish. Many anglers got out for the April 1 opener.
Send your photos to outdoors writer David Figura at dfigura@NYup.com. Angler who caught the fish must be in the photo. Include the full name of the angler. Other information needed include where he or she lives, where and when the fish was caught – and on what.
Good luck and be safe. It’s important to keep one’s proper social distance (at least 6 feet) on and off the water. Avoid large group scenes and crowded parking lots. Keep one’s conversations short with other anglers so as to not forget and get too close.
